The size-16 stunner Ashley Graham insists there is “every reason to flaunt” her curves

Kate Upton might have had the monopoly on Sports Illustrated in recent years, making history with back to back covers for the 2012 and 2013 issues for the annual swimsuit issue, but today the story is ALL about Ashley Graham. The magazine’s FIRST plus-size model.
In an air-punching moment for women around the world, size-16 beauty Ashley frolics on the beach, showing off her beach curls and sunkissed skin in a tiny black bikini.
And guess what? There’s not a kaftan or sarong in sight. There’s not a towel to cover up these curves. She gets to show them off in all their glory.
The 27-year-old model, who features in a plus-size swimwear ad, said: “I know my curves are sexy and I want everyone else to know that theirs are too.
"There is no reason to hide and every reason to flaunt."
While Ashley’s career includes spreads for high-end fashion magazines including Glamour, Latina, Harper’s Bazaar and Elle, she is no stranger to working in an environment where stick thin models are the norm.
She recently called out Hollywood for using Jennifer Lawrence as its ‘curvy girl role model’, while talking to The Edit.
"Jennifer Lawrence is the media's poster girl for curves — she's tiny," she said.
"There needs to be more education in schools, because that's where eating disorders start. It's not just about being healthy; it's also about loving who you are."
Swimsuitsforall are launching a social media initiative where girls can tag #CurvesinBikinis, to show off their curves in all their glory.
"Tastes and body types change over time and curves have never been more 'in.' There is no better way to celebrate and show off than by donning a bikini," said swimsuitsforall CEO and President Moshe Laniado.
