What a whirlwind year for Nina! Her character, Elena, is constantly at the center of a love triangle between Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley), but in real life the actress has actually embarked on a new chapter as a single lady.
Meanwhile, her ex-boyfriend and co-star, Ian Somerhalder, 38, has been swept up in a hot and heavy romance with another actress, Nikki Reed, 26.
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Ian and Nikki have reportedly moved in together.
Furthermore, Ian thinks Nikki is “the one” and this apparently has upset Nina, who used to be friends with Nikki. Ouch!
After dating for two years, Nina and Ian called it quits in May 2013.
Fortunately, since then, the Bulgarian/Canadian actress has taken on new and exciting projects!
From new movies such as Let’s Be Cops to her role on the The Originals – Nina continues to climb the ranks of Hollywood actresses!
