The superstar singer has worked with the hip-hop star in the past, including on songs Ego and See Me Now. Kanye and Beyoncé's husband Jay Z are great friends and the trio, along with Kanye's wife Kim Kardashian, recently went to dinner, which is when the idea of the song apparently came up.
"Beyoncé did talk to Kim, to ask about North and speak about Blue Ivy, but Kim felt it was strained and polite. Bey was gushing over Kanye, though, saying see's got a song in mind she could only do with him," an insider told British magazine Heat.
The women are thought to have a tricky relationship, with claims Beyoncé didn't go to Kim and Kanye's wedding last year because she was worried it would be a media circus.
The publication suggests Kim isn't too keen on the idea of her husband working with the star again, but understands she won't be able to do much about it. Especially as Kanye is said to be thrilled by the idea, and his creative juices are already flowing.
"Kanye always gets what he wants when it comes to his creativity. Kim knows she can't ever stand in the way of his music. When he told her how important this is to him and his art, she couldn't exactly refuse. She wants to be supportive of him, even if it means swallowing her pride," the source said.
